Hello all,

I'm running Red Hat 9.0 and would like to know what file I need to edit to change ip address, and default gateway?

I don't like the "setup" command and would perfer not to use it. I know there has to be a file that I can edit to change these setting, does anyone know what it is?

Hi,

They are located in /etc/sysconfig

On my rh9 box I have the following since I have 2 NIC's - /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/eth0 and /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/eth1

You can edit those files manually.
