I have a specific goal that I am trying to meet. I have two specific questions, but feel free to offer any other solutions to my problem.
Problem: I have a Linux (Slackware, but I can change distributions if needed)) firewall/router governing my Windows NT/2k client network. I need to provide virus protection for the Windows boxes without installing any additional apps on those machines. I must be able to scan the Windows machines for virus signatures and I would like to be able to scan incoming and outgoing network traffic with minmal detriment to bandwidth.
Questions:
1. Is there an available application that will provide for my network's needs?
2. Is there a way to mount my Windows' partitions to my Linux box so that my Linux Anti-Virus can scan those files as part of the Linux file share?
