I am trying to install red hat 9. I have it on a cd.

When i start up the installer i press enter (to go into graphical install)

then a ton of text scrolls on my screen, and the monitor flashes off for a second and then comes back on

after that it takes me into the install, except it is not the graphical install i have gotten on other computers but instead a dos-like gui. If i keep going with the dos-like gui once it checks for my cd (it is still in the drive E:) it says disk isn't in drive...

Can anyone help?

Have you done the media check/test?

What type of monitor/video card do you have?
