Whats this Lie-nix Thing?

I have a rockwell pci sound card its a little old and on red hat 9.0 the sound card detection says there is no sound card. is there a way i can manually select a driver for it or find a way to make it visible to linux.

Is it a PCI Sound Card or an ISA Sound Card (pc is a small card slot ... normally brown or white ... ISA is a larger slot, normally black).
