I have an older PC with windows 98 and some revision of Mandrake Linux (dual boot).

I want to delete the Mandrake (leaving the Windows 98).

I know I coud start from scratch and reformat the disk & reinstall Windows etc but really don't want to take that option unless absolutely necessary.

Could also delete the partition, but am not sure how that would affect the MBR.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If lilo or grub is installed into your mbr please visit here for removal instructions:

http://www.linuxhelp.ca/newbies/#uninstall

After that just use partition software to delete the partition and give the free space to windows.
