Hi,I setup RedHat 8.0 on my pc at home. Everything is wonderful in my life now..except that I cannot get RedHat to run my monitor at 1024x768. The monitor would display at that resolution and higher under Win2k. It is a Gateway Crystalscan 700 (fairly old, but still works). Any ideas? During setup I tested several different Gateway monitor setups and they will only display at 800x600 which I hate! I can't go out and get a new monitor right now. Oh, this is running on a nVida Geforce 2 32mb video card.

I'm stumped.

I just had a similar problm. Maybe you do not have the memory size set correctly for your video card. Today I did an install and the default memory for my video card was 512K, dont know why though. Without thinking, I accepted the option and had a problem with my 1600 X 1200 monitor only run at 640X480.
