Help, I am very new to Linux and have got Stuck I am following instructions to install this file for my modem but only get as far as " can not start pppup.tgz no such file or directory" error. its on a floppy and seems to go well to this point , any help very appreciated, I am trying to cp to the /tmp folder Git

Should be able to copy the file to the /tmp folder.
Is the floppy drive mounted?

What is the command when you get the 'can not start pppup.tgz no such file or directory'

Thanx Michaelk, I re-downloaded the file and it worked, got as far as (put it in to the pppup/ directory, and type ./InstallMe ) Q never done this before, how do I find the directoy ,where di I type this? thanx, Git
