Hi all
How can a read CPU or BORD serial number?
I am a new member on this site and I need your help on this issue.
I know there are some files in /proc but I didn't find any S/N!

Thanks smile.gif

CPU serial number used to be in /proc/cpuinfo ...it is not there on 2.4 or higher kernels... you can see whats in cpuinfo with the command:

cat /proc/cpuinfo

you can also try:

dmesg | grep CPU

but neither now provide that information....
