I am having problems booting windows off my second hard drive.
I'm running mandrake 8.2. Here's the specs:

hda - western digital 80 gig 7200rpm 8 mb cache

hda1
type - fat32
has windows ME loaded

hda5
type - Journalised FS:ext3
root partition

hda6
type - linux Swap

hdb - Seagate 20 gig 7200rpm

hdb1
type - 68
has windows ME loaded

I don't know why but Linux recognizes hdb1 to be type 68 and not fat32
both hd are on the same IDE cable
hda is set to master
hdb is set to slave
When both hard drives are plugged in it boots LILO
LILO will boot linux and the WinME on hda1
when you try to boot the WinME on hdb1 it gives the error

Invalid System disk
Replace the disk, and then press any key

if I press a key it boots LILO again but if I unplug hda and hit
a key it will boot the windows on hdb
if I turn on the computer without hda plugged in it will boot windows fine

Here's a copy of my lilo.conf file

install=/boot/boot.b
default=linux
keytable=/boot/us.klt
lba32
prompt
nowarn
message=/boot/message
menu-scheme=wb:bw:wb:bw
ignore-table
image=/boot/vmlinuz
label=linux
root=/dev/hda5
initrd=/boot/initrd.img
append="devfs=mount hdc=ide-scsi"
read-only
other=/dev/hda1
label=windows1
table=/dev/hda
other=/dev/hdb1
label=windows2
table=/dev/hdb
image=/boot/vmlinuz
label=failsafe
root=/dev/hda5
initrd=/boot/initrd.img
append="devfs=nomount hdc=ide-scsi failsafe"
read-only
other=/dev/fd0
label=floppy
unsafe

If anyone knows how to get LILO to boot hdb1 it would be greatly appreciated.
I'm also wondering why linux thinks hdb is 68 and not fat32. It won't let me mount it
into linux because of this or is this the problem.
