hey

I am trying to install my sound card drivers...

I run the ./configure script, it tells me i need to ./configure --with-kernal=<dir>
I really have no idea where to find my kernal source code...
There is a dir in the /usr/src/ called redhat (i am running rh), the dir contains a few folders (BUILD, SOURCE...) all these folders are empty....
i cant make install, if i dont know a dir with all the kernal sources...

so basically i need run this script specifying the directory with kernal sources. How do I find this dir?

Chances are, you don't have the kernel source installed. What you need to do, is go into Redhat's packaging system (I apologize, I forget where that is to), and you need to install the kernel development packages. When that's installed, you can just go ahead and run ./configure again. The script should be able to pick up your kernel at that point.
