I have just decided to switch from Windows XP Pro to Linux, and have installed Red Hat 9. I hav e come up against a number of problems, the most recent of which is connecting my digital camera. I have a Nikon Coolpix 775, with a usb connection, and I am not sure how to connect it. The 'Digital Camera Tool' supplied with RH9 does not detect the camera.

Any help would be great.

Ewan.

ps. current system:

dell inspiron 2500,
pIII 800 mhz,
128mb ram,

linux red hat 9

I was finally able to get my HP 318 camera to work with linux last week.

Try installing gtkam and gphoto2.

The gtkam should be able to detect it.
