I have a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Sound Card.

For some reason, it refuses to work under mandrake 9.1.

I have tried both the "audigy" and the "Emu10k1" drivers that are included with MDK.

I downloaded a .tar file from sourceforge that is supposed to support the Audigy, but I have no idea how to install it.

My sound card did work under Red Hat 9, but they have decided to disable MP3 support in the XMMS player.

Any help is appreciated,

Nick M. Rahl

I'm not sure about the card and mandrake but I wanted to put in my 2 cents about the mp3 support in RH.

Re-enabling it is fairly simple. Info can be found at http://www.redhat.com/advice/speaks_80mm.html and RPMS for XMMS can be found at http://staff.xmms.org/priv/redhat8/ (they work for RH9 too) or you can simply compile XMMS from source.
