My friend has a slightly newer machine (Dell). Both use Intel 845 chipset. He installed College Linux on his but the resolution stays at 640x400 no matter what we do. By the way, I tried Mandrake (which works on my machine but not his) as well as Knoppix on it and didn't work. I did some research and learned that I need xfree 4.3 for this chipset. I checked and sure enough College Linux 2.3 has xfree 4.3. By the way, I think College Linux as well as the other distros recognized the chipset. Any idea? Thanks.

We solved the problem. We find a reference on the internet. We need to change the bio.
