All,
When performing a backup of a system, if the application launchers (all the CNR "Click-N-Run" apps), or in other words the entire set of apps seen in the "Launcher Menu" (Kubuntu or Ubuntu or other distro), {Launcher Menu is similar to the Windows "Start" button for you newbies}; are not backed up then the backup is not complete. Unfortunately I've been searching all over the inet for the last 3 years to find a script or any help that actually indentifies these, where they reside and how to back them up. By now I obviously need help, so hope someone else has stumbled across info on this that can get me rightfully started on this part of the backup process. All help appreciated! TBNK |

michaelk,
Sorry forgot to tell you I'm on Kubuntu 12.04 LTS, and not on Unity. Will never ever use or endorse that pile of Windows Wanna BE @#%$^^$$! I got completely off Windows so want nothing that looks or feels like it! Now I'm sure it is in the hidden folders, and one would suspect the .kde folder under /home/user, but there is nothing in any of that folder or any other folders under /home/user that indicates any such close relationship, so wondering if they databased it. Let me know! Again all help appreciated! TBNK |
