I recently bought a asus u1f 11" laptop that came with the dreaded vista business.
I have tried a few distros through out the years and have found i ran into the same 3 issues when using linux which forces me to stay with windows.
1. Linux always runs alot hotter then windows
2. Theres never any noobie fix for the issue, just very technical rocket science terms.
3. No real temp sensors.
Which distro would be best for me, and will i run into those same 3 issues?
My system specs are intel core duo u2400 1.06ghz, 1.5gb ram, 80gb hard drive, intel 945 gpu
Any help is muchly appreciated.

Frequency scaling is a lot better then it used to be.
I would try linux mint and see what happens.
