I've been doing some searching, and I found out that mdk's snd driver doesn't support my car (Soundblaster Live! 5.1). I found the as10k1 driver, but I can't figure out how to install it. So far I've installed rpms and Adobe Acrobat (it had an actuall install script), but no matter what I try, it's just not working. I've only had mdk installed for a couple of days, so I'm fairly new to command line. I've tried searching through google, but still don't come up with anything. Any body want to help this struggling newbie out. biggrin.gif

first off....its a bash prompt not a command line
secondly, forget windows ever existed wink.gif
tertiary, SB Live is suported in 9.1, it uses the emu10k1 module.

This should have been configured by default. If you dont get any errors regarding sound on boot you probably havent turned up the mixer volume...which for some dumb reason is down completely by default.... You will need to run kmix/gmix/aumix to get that turned up smile.gif
