Hi I just arrived in Europe and somehow my wifi got screwed up at the same time. Not sure if that's coincidence or not. The wifi helper on the computers status bar with which I usually deal with connections has vanished. Anyone know how to bring that back maybe? Iwlist scan shows tons of networks available. I tried using iwconfig to set Essid and commit but it says "set failed on device wlan0; operation not supported". So I can't get it to connect to the essids that way. Is there another way? I can connect fine with my iPod (which I'm posting from now, please save me!)

Running mint on a think pad t410 with integrated "intel 6300 abgn" wireless.

Really appreciate any ideas!

Ask if more information is needed but please keep in mind I will have to type the results of any terminal queries by hand sad.gif
