I am switching from Solaris to Linux and I am having a bit of a problem using the sort command.

If I have the following list:

b, *b, a, *a,

the sort routine will return:

a, *a, b, *b,

but what I want (and what Solaris returns) is:

*a, *b, a, b

as the '*' is lower in the collating sequence.

How can I fix it?

Thanks!
