I've spent the last day trying to get my wireless card to be recognized by Linux and I realize it's not happening. Does anyone know of some Linux shops that I can drop this by so they can troubleshoot this, as at this point, it would have been cheaper to have just bought a pre-installed Linux laptop?

Ranting without posting any real information will not help solve your problem and being negative at first post will drive prospective helpers away.

What is the make/model of laptop?
Do you know the wireless chipset installed in your laptop?
What linux distribution/version did you install?
Where on planet Earth do you call home?
