I have an Iomega usb hard drive that I accidentally formatted to read only.Right now it wont mount anymore.So I need to know,first,how to get it to mount again and then change it to read and write.

Os Linux mint 13 / Ubuntu 12.10

Hard drive Iomega usb 250gb

Can you post the model number? I could not find any information on the internet about how to format as read only.
When you plug the drive in look at the output of the dmesg command. Post any errors related to the USB drive.
