I was asked to do the following, but I have no clue what to do because I am new in Linux world:

"Could you provide:
kernel log(using "dmesg") for those commands:
insmod dhd.ko
dhd -i eth1 download...
ifconfig eth1 ...
wl mpc..."

I assume you are trying to get your WIFI working.
What linux distribution/version are you running?

You need to type these commands in a terminal window and you have to be logged in as root or use the sudo command. Which depends on the distribution you are running.
How to start a terminal also depends on distribution. You should be able to google to find under what menu it lies.
