Whats this Lie-nix Thing? ![]() Group: Members Posts: 3 Joined: 22-February 12 Member No.: 17,458 |
Hello,
I’ve been trying to revive an old computer, but I’m having a lot of problems booting almost every linux distro i tried (all lightweight). When the computer tries to boot from the CD, I either get a ISOLINUX error or the computer completely freezes. The only distro I’m able to run is Damn Small Linux and only the version that uses the SYSLINUX bootloader. I think the problem is that the BIOS does not support current bootloaders. I would like to know which other distros still support old bootloaders like SYSLINUX or if there is anything else I could do. Thanks |
