I have developed a script to reset the time stamp on folders after copying them to the orginal date according to the files within. Now, I am running into the problem that I have sub-folders withing the folder and it isn't resetting the date on the folder. I think it is as simple as changing some commands in the script but am unsure of what to change. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

you don't need to create a script for your problem:

use cp with -p argument!

cp -p your_source_file dest_directory/
