Q.1) Can anybody help me know the steps to patch the Kernel on Linux Box ? Q.2) After Patching the Kernel,the Linux Box is Not coming UP then How to troubleshoot it ? How to bring the server UP ? Regards, Aparna. |

A bit vague with information.
What was the patch? what steps did you use to apply the patch. What steps did you use to compile the kernel? What distribution/version are you running? I hope that you did not over write the old kernel. Depends on what bootloader you are running. With grub you can use its command line interface to boot old kernels. |
