Months ago, I installed OpenSUSE on my external hard drive, hoping to be able to take advantage of dual-booting windows and Linux. Unfortunately, the way it was installed prevents me from being able to boot my computer at all without my external hard drive attached. This is quite annoying, as it is a laptop and I have to take my hard drive with me wherever I go. I've dealt with it long enough and really need help fixing the problem. My computer's native OS is Windows 7. It came with the computer (it was a gift most likely bought from Best Buy), but it did not come with an actual copy of Win7 or even a restoration disc. I don't have any way of reinstalling Windows 7 unless I drop the cash for it. How can I fix this? I was only experimenting with Linux. I really don't have a true need for it (yet), so if fixing the problem means getting rid of Linux, so be it. The only reason I installed it is I'm trying to learn how to program in Python, and I heard that Python + Linux went together like peas and carrots. |
