Hi Guys

Yep modem is installed it's a external billion 5100 4- port router pluged into my network card and phone line and PPPOE is set, but this is the strange thing I started Linux system and the internet is back up now no changes have been made from yesterday The only thing I can say that has changed is the router was left powered on. If anyone has had this happen before ? and I was online with window yesterday so I dont think it was ISP problem or a problem with the Router thanks for the quick post.

Regards

Hi Guys

I installed Ximian Evolution on SUSE 9 personal all looked okay I sent a test email it worked I then rebooted my system to see if my ADSL still work and it did surf the web for a bit then rebooted again internet still worked so shutdown. The next day started my system no internet as i connect through billion 4 port ADSL router I powered it off and on no go. Now as I am new to Linux and still have heaps to learn I checked some online forums and doc's but have not found any idea's or help with this problem. I like SUSE and have found it very good OS but I have checked all the network settings and all are the same as before Evolution was installed. I know I have over looked something and yes I have my internet set for direct Connection not as ADSL modem as I found needed to be set to LAN. Any ideas for this newbie as until I fix this it's windows for the net for now.

Regards
