hi,
i'm trying to use cdrecord to burn some iso's. i've run: cdrecord -scanbus to see my burner's id and then i run the following command: cdrecord -dev=0,0,0 speed=12 (iso) the burner barely starts burning before i receive this message: cdrecord: Drive needs to reload the media to return to proper status. cdrecord: WARNING: Data may not fit on standard 74min disk. Starting to write CD/DVD at speed 12 in real TAO mode for single session. Last chance to quit, starting real write 0 seconds. Operation starts. cdrecord: Input/output error. read track info: scsi sendcmd: no error CDB: 52 01 00 00 00 FF 00 00 1C 00 status: 0x2 (CHECK CONDITION) Sense Bytes: 70 00 05 00 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 30 06 00 00 Sense Key: 0x5 Illegal Request, Segment 0 Sense Code: 0x30 Qual 0x06 (cannot format medium - incompatible medium) Fru 0x0 Sense flags: Blk 0 (not valid) cmd finished after 0.000s timeout 240s why? |

do this instead:
cdrecord -v -dev=0,0,0 speed=12 -data iso_filename -------------------- Johnny Hughes

Out of curiosity, what is the size of the ISO image, and what is the size of the medium in which you are burning onto (Blank CDR)?
