and 52x24x52 sony cd burner

cool system huh

and OS Mandrake nine with 2.4 kernel

I have a 478 socket foxconn 661sli motherboard with 512mb of dram with a celeron 2.4mhz cpu with a geforce 4 440mx 128mb running mandrake 9.0 kernel 2.4 on it with a hard drive of 20gb, Is there a way to get need for speed to work on this type of system without going to mircsoft

like a baby sucking milk of my mum i started to get into Red hat linux and enjoy the taste of it using to set up gate ways and printer sever and games , ftp severs but he is my problem exploxer is not much in the user friend department so i am looking for a new one can some one help me please dry.gif

I have a problem I am using Red hat 9.0 as my print and fttp and file sever each item has it's own box the problem is that is it better to run a new version of Red Hat all just stick with this version can you help.


My boxs are

Amd 3200 64bit chip
Asus motherboard
1gb of ram
200gb hard drive *2
128mb videro card
52 speed cd rom
10/100/1000 netgear network card
Netgear 10/100/1000 switch with 5 ports on it

Here is a question I have my friends have G5 apples and that wish to make a link to my main sever , My box has Red hat 9.0 and i not sure if there system can log on to my sever is there a way to get them to log on to my sever with my other p4 systems. please can you help.

your network drivers for Suse maybe not working with your network card you may need to work out the source and fix the problem manual.

I guess it's better to run a dual boot system yhen running Wine for windows programs, If so can Linux still run in the back as windows is loading for eg: my how network is running on linux sever only,
can i run dual boot and still use linux as net work control for my web and file sharing and running windows at the same time if you get the idea!!!!!

My network system is amd 2.8mhz with msi motherboard with 2g of ram with tnt32 vidreo card and a maxtor hard disc it's has a copper 1g network card running Red hat 9.0 ent with a cannon 356j printer on it, My other systems are amd 64bit 3.2 systems run also linux on them and i am running a 24 port 10/100/1000 switch with my 64bit chips can i do this with windows !!!

hey guys I have a problem now with my Red Hat Enterprise.

I have dual boot with windows 2003 sever , And found out that windows 2003 doesn't like having Red hat linux on it the same machine.

as i boot into Red Hat Enterprise ws i lose sound and my videro Card doesn't show a picture is there any way to fix this problem.


no sound drives
or no videro drives it can get.

Hey girls and Guys,

have a look at this machine it's a beast!!!


1 AMD 3.0 64bit clip
1 Aopen motherboard
1 Gb of ram
1 200gb hard drive maxtor
1 sony dvd burner
1 1.44 fd
1 21 inch sony montior

And running dual booting with Red Hat 8.3 and Windows 95

you may asking why i running windows 95 well i couldn't dual boot from windows 3.11 because it needs ms-dos to run

Well it broken the speed record 3 seconds flat..... biggrin.gif

hey guys,


I had the same problem too, Xp is os that likes a lot of space (space) anyway i losted myself there biggrin.gif my had to format the hard drive and setted up a new platition again for linux my version of 9.2 Mandrake was not working as well so i down loader of the net a new start up copy of disk one and try it again i hope the this was help for!!!!!

just other question how much hard drive does these os take full installing with network drives, sound card and videro card drivers is 10 gb going to be find or more hard drive needed!!!
