Pardon my technicality, but isn't Yahoo search the exact same engine as google, only with Yahoo's marketing ploys tacked onto the top and side of it?

Not really ... because it also uses yahoo's categories and weighting factors... If you do a search on Google and then do the same search on Yahoo, you will notice a difference ... my search on the term Linux Help (on google and yahoo) show very similar 1-10 but from that point on the lists start to diverge. Specificly, the Beginners section of Linuxlinks.com The site description says, "We have our own custom guides for those who find the regular HOWTOs a little confusing. " That 's what got me here.

i googled for ssh help and found this beautiful site. now you are linked from my site. and that link has taken 10 clicks in 2 months not staggering considering i am getting about 500 loads a month but still my links are kinda hidden

CODE Yahoo does use the google technology to perform their searches... I'm not sure they do any more ... I think they had a falling out. Anyway, there arewnt many search comapnies Yahoo havent tried using... D -------------------- |
