I recently had a macbook that crashed with a bad motherboard. I had been saving my files to my external hard drive using Time Machine. I can't access the files off of my harddrive because it's reading the directories as individual files rather than directories or copies of what was on the previous machine. I would like to know if there is a way to retrieve my files from Time Machine on Ubuntu or a program that would let me do this. I am running Ubuntu on a dell now. I also know nothing about how to write any programs that would do this or what program I would have to use to even begin to write a program.

Thanks,
Sean

I know nothing about the file format of the archive and no idea if it works but take a look at this:
