I am on day 2 of being a linux user (Ubuntu Studio) and am currently reinstalling the system after I destroyed the graphics drivers. I have a dual monitor setup and need the monitor on the left on the DVI port to be the primary monitor but can't seem to find how to change that and the VGA connected one on the right is being made the primary. I have an ATI Radeon 4350 card and found drivers, installed drivers, and things went down hill from there. So before I continue and mess up again, is there a way to set the primary monitor without messing with drivers?

So I'm apparently the victim of over-googling. All the posts I saw recommended not using the proprietary driver....well I just decided to give that a shot and it works just fine. Sorry for the the post...but I'm sure I'll have many a more questions as I get acclimated to the linux environment.
