Linuxhelp _ Technical Support _ Dual booting help

Posted by: JCAnthony Jun 10 2011, 12:55 PM

OK I am going to start by saying I'm not familiar with Linux at all but need some help with an XP/Fedora dual boot someone asked me to look at.

The XP install was corrupt and using the install disk to repair didn't fix it so I was forced to install a fresh copy of it.

Doing this removed the option to select which OS to boot to and by default boots XP. How do I get it back to asking which to boot to? Both OS's are on the same drive too if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Restoring windows will overwrite the linux bootloader. You can use the Fedora installation CD/DVD to restore grub.
