Linuxhelp _ Technical Support _ help with bootable cd

i need to make a bootable cd to install win xp. i have a win xp iso but using ubuntu's cd writer it doesnt seem to allow me to boot with it. any help would be appreciated, i know it seems like a simple question but i had my windows get corrupted and i had to try reinstalling it but my pc only came with a restore partition, no cd... and the restore partition was corrupted as well so ive only been using Linux for about a week... thanks

What application did you use to create the CD. I would use k3b.
Where did you get the XP ISO? Do you have any idea how it was created?

I used whatever cd creator ubuntu has , you know when you drag the file to empty cd folder and click write. i dont how the xp iso was created i had to get it from a torrent. i figured it wouldnt matter since i have the sticker with my xp serial and all that.

If you view the CD and only see a single ISO file then it was not burned correctly. I ask the question on where the ISO file came from since just copying the files from
the CD will not make it bootable.
