Linuxhelp _ Technical Support _ Keyboard - Mouse Problem

Posted by: dolor Oct 26 2002, 09:31 PM

Okay, I've got this hardware problem (i think) that is messin' with me. Whenever I run Gnome (running Slackware 8.0), my mouse works until I press any key on my keyboard. Once I press a key, the mouse won't respond at all. I've got the HP internet keyboard, and the standard HP mouse with the wheel thingy. I've also gone through the xf86config, but that didn't help.

All ideas are welcome. Thanks.

**btw...i'm a newbie to linux, if you haven't noticed biggrin.gif

there is imps/2.

Section "Pointer"
Protocol "IMPS/2"
Device "/dev/psaux"
SampleRate 60
BaudRate 1200
ZAxisMapping 4 5
Buttons 3
EndSection

If there isn't, and that gives you an error, then download Xfree86, cause you're not running it. IMPS/2 has been around for as long as I can remember.

That means, it is still there tongue.gif
