Without providing any details we can not provide much help.
What is the model of your laptop?
What linux distribution/version are you running?

I do not play games so are you running dota2 via steam? Does your laptop meet the min requirements

According to the link provided you don't have enough RAM.
Windows only requires 1GB but linux needs 4GB.
