Linuxhelp _ Technical Support _ cant boot from disk???

Posted by: tiocfaidharlaaa Mar 26 2014, 03:45 PM

I installed kubuntu a few weeks ago from disk. Now when I boot it lets me log in but no desktop loads. Ive got the disk back to reinstall kubuntu because I dont know how to fix the ptoblem - but I dont know how to boot from the disk. When the system boots I press eac and it brings up grub but when I type boot it says "you need to load the kernel first". Im pretty new to this and dont have a clue whats going on- any help much appreciated

I typed xnu_kernel into grub and it said 'secure boot forbids loading module from (hd0,gpt2)/boot/grub/x86_64-efi/xnu.mod
Does this help???
