Linuxhelp _ Technical Support _ Bottom display bar goes blank?

Posted by: rog Jun 28 2012, 06:29 AM

The bottom tool bar which shows the date and time along with what other programs are open etc. every now and again suddenly goes blank. If I hover over where the icon used to be a faint shadow is visible but nothing else. If I right mouse the shadow a darker box opens above it but without any text in it. If I restart the computer and open up programs again the bottom toolbar is fine again Any ideas please

I am unfamiliar with mint and cinnamon but it appears to be a video driver problem. with no clear solution.
