Linuxhelp _ Life after Windoze _ File permissions

Posted by: Storyteller6666 Jun 8 2009, 05:19 AM

I have both Win XP and Suse Linux ver 10.3 installed on one 500 GB hard disk.

When I try to delete files frm teh Win partition, I get an error message saying Windows doesn't give me permission to do so. I can copy, but not move or delete.

How do I tell Windows to mind its own business and let me have full access to my files, preferably from within Linux?

I think you will need to install ntfs-config using yast.
Post your /etc/fstab file

Change fmask=133,dmask=022 to umask=000
