Hey,

I am new to Linux and I was g just wondering if this was possilbe and how to do so.

Is it possible to log onto another system ueing the IP of that system through the network?

Yes, the prefered method is to use ssh. You will need to setup sshd on the PC you desire to log into.

Is this PC behind a router?

If youa re on the same LAN, and both computers use gdm to handle logins,you can use a feature of gdm to perform remote grapgical logins which is quite cool. It's called XDCMP or someting similar.

Yeah it is really easy...it is called "XDMCP"
