Linuxhelp _ General Discussion _ New Laptop Questions

Posted by: brightdog Nov 4 2008, 04:08 AM

I am looking to get a laptop that would be good for running both Linux and Windows. I don't know anything about which distrobution of Linux I want to use as this is my first experience with it. My goal is to have a web capabable laptop that I can learn to use Linux on and eventually not really need windows anymore and maybe get rid of it. Other than that my only needs are that its moderately priced and hopefully a good bang for the buck. Thanks

I mostly use Dells but you might have a look at HP or Toshiba. Dell even sells a computer with linux already installed but you will not save any money.
