Linuxhelp _ General Discussion _ Cron Report Log Problem

Posted by: tim@cabdoor.com Jun 14 2004, 04:27 PM

Have some cron jobs currently working
we are trying to get one to work
we are trying to use the logs to help us trouble shoot possible problems
all crons execution are reporting something, but it can't be read
it seems to be garbled

the report is being emailed back to root, but the output to read seems garbled
the syntax to run the cron is

/bin/bash -c "export TERM=vt100 ; /var/spool/esend/edocs/esndcon"

we have several of them running with the above syntax, all them are running except one
they are all reporting some kind of root email message, yet this message can't be read
because it is all garbled

any clues in why the message is garbles

thanks

tim
